Nora gave a smile as she held tightly onto her infamous warhammer Maghild. The sounds of the roaring audience that made her blood boil, the anticipation of her upcoming foe, the sheer desire to battle someone and come out on top. It was truly a wonderful day for the muscle of Team JNPR!

Little did she know, in the stands, a woman sat with her coy and calculating smile. Alongside her were her teammates on either side as they prepared for the show, and nobody was any the wiser to their scheme. Nora’s own team got front row seats and cheered her on, betting on her victory.

“Nora, don’t hold back!”

“Do your best!”

“Leave something for the staff to clean up if possible.”

Near them were her friends, Team RWBY, they were just as excited to see her in the ring, each one giving her a cheer. As Nora opened her eyes, she saw her foe standing across from her.

She was a pretty thing, seemingly no older than Coco. Her blonde hair in pigtails, her skimpy outfit leaving her midriff exposed but her breasts bouncing in the top while her hips seemed to fit snug in the skirt. A lollipop danced in her mouth as she held her weapon, a large chainsaw. On her hip was what appeared to be a disembodied head.

“Hey, so, Juliet, I know this is the finals... but can we just pretend to lose here? I’m still a bit sore after you kicked me into that emo pirate-looking guy.” The head begged, the woman giggled as she whispered.

“Come on Nick, this is the finals. We just got to beat her and maybe two more people and we can leave, promise. Besides, my sisters are here you know.”

Nick scanned the crowd, seeing she wasn’t lying. Rosalind was leaning dangerously close to the point she could fall off the railing at any second. Cordelia was cheering on, and... her father didn’t seem to focus on his daughter, but rather gave off quite the death glare to Nick. He knew that look... Before he could think anything else, the boisterous and masculine voice belonging to Peter Port boomed over the stadium speakers.

“Nora Valkyrie, of Beacon! Versus, Juliet Starling, of San Romero! Ladies, get ready!”

In the stands, the amber eyed woman turned to her dark skinned friend, and whispered. “You know what to do when the time comes.” The woman simply nodded in return and studied the two. In the ring, Juliet revved up her chainsaw.

“I like your hammer, how long did it take to make it?” she asked,  Nora placed her finger to her chin and looked at the sky.

“I forgot, maybe a month? But maybe we can discuss it after we fight!” Juliet smirked as she put one foot back, Nick seemed to pray under his breath as this occurred, but his voice was drowned out by Dr. Bartholomew Oobleck.

 “3, 2, 1, BEGIN!!”

In a flash, both girls charged at each other! Nora swinging her mighty hammer at the same force of Juliet’s chainsaw. Upon contact, the two met eyes, the chainsaw’s teeth buzzing against the hammer’s steel body before the two pulled back and swung again and again. Sparks rang into the air as they swung each time, flailing their unorthodox weapons like clunky swords.

Within moments, the dance stopped when Juliet spun closer to the ground, a trail of rainbows giving off a light as she aimed for the legs... Nora jumped back in time and laughed as she raised Magnhild into the sky and crashed down with the intent to bury Juliet into the ground. Instead, the cheerleader rolled back in time and gave another spin, barely even cutting a sliver of hair off of Nora’s head as she leaned forward to dodge.

With a smirk, the Valkyrie shifted her hammer to its grenade launcher form and aimed it for Juliet’s midsection as she spun. The oncoming grenade would’ve caught her by surprise, but Nick was quick to notice.

“Juliet! Look out!”

Taking note of her boyfriend’s voice, Juliet jumped to the side and watched as the grenade whistled across the arena. She patted the decapitated head with the same affection one’d give to their pet dog.

“Thanks Nick, I didn’t see that coming.”

With that, the cheerleader ran, with Nora keeping up by running to the side. The two got further apart as they glanced at each other, studying their movements and timing as Juliet came to a screeching halt and held her chainsaw against the ground. With a quick rev, she dashed right for Nora, lacking a plan entirely.

The ginger-haired Nora took this as a suicidal charge, one she’d be happy to oblige in as she held the grenade launcher in Juliet’s direction. With a quick chuckle, she fired a single grenade, only to see Juliet tilt her head to the side to dodge it. The cheerleader responded by leaning forward, pressing her weight against the chainsaw so it could tilt forth, once the weight became unbalanced, Juliet sprang into the air and came down with a mighty swing!

Nora grinned in utter joy at the oncoming attack and shifted Magnhild back to warhammer form and held it up to block the chainsaw, sparks screaming across the air as she shifted her weight to her arm muscles. Juliet realized this would go nowhere quick and spun forward, landing behind the Valkyrie and swung her hammer, aiming for the midsection. Nora countered instantly, having their tools of trade meet again, only this time, the sheer force caused Juliet’s chainsaw to bounce back, throwing the cheerleader off, With a confident smirk, Nora lifted Magnhild and brought it down once again, only to see Juliet fall onto her back and stop the oncoming swing with her chainsaw. She quickly kicked at Nora’s shin, causing her to tumble as she lifted her head, ramming it against Nora’s and pushing her back.

With no time to spare; Juliet rolled back and wiped her head a bit. “Wow, shes pretty good, huh Nick?”

“I can’t tell, sort of hard to see when you’re attached to someone’s hip and being flung left and right every two seconds...” the decapitated boyfriend replied in sarcasm. Said sarcasm was clearly lost to Juliet.

“Oh, you, then pay attention on something other than my butt, silly!”

With that comment, Nick just felt a sensation of phantom pain where his neck should’ve been, the hairs standing as he sensed the judgmental eyes of Juliet’s father. But before he could try to redirect the conversation, Juliet gave a twirl, blocking a downward swing with her chainsaw. Sparks screamed and scattered, the demented smile given off by Nora meeting Juliet’s complimenting smirk. The Valkyrie hopped back and planted her feet on the ground, spinning Magnhild once more before turning in place for a power swing.

Without missing a beat, Juliet jumped over the hammer and brought her chainsaw towards Nora, only to see the girl purposely throw off her own weight for a dodge. The two noticed they couldn’t land a single hit yet, something they needed to change somehow. Maybe... neutral ground just wasn’t good enough.

In the stands, Cinder took note and held her scroll. “I believe, we should make things a bit more interesting.

With a tap, the entire arena groaned and the two sides began to retract, leaving the girls confused as they united at the center. Within moments, one side rose to resemble a mountain range, with the other a destroyed city. The announcers were baffled, as was management. But to the audience, as well as the two girls, this was only going to give off a more entertaining show.

Juliet began the second round with a bump, hitting her rear against Nora’s to stagger her. She then leaned back and rolled, holding her chainsaw in one hand while she spun up to keep her feet on the Valkyrie’s back. She then leapt high into the air, covering 20 meters in one swoop and held her chainsaw to shift it into it’s blaster form. Nora noticed this and gave a smile, holding her warhammer and reverting it back to its grenade launcher form. Taking a knee, she aimed... and...

BOOM!! BOOM!! BOOM!!

In rapid succession, both girls fired three rounds, each meeting dead on! This didn’t deter either of them as Nora made a dash for the mountains. Juliet giggled at the motion and spun in place, taking advantage of her nimbleness and aerial advantage to fire five shots, each one flying like a cannon round rather than a bullet. Nora managed to dodge each one with ease and with a jumping roll, fired a single shot at Juliet. The cheerleader gasped out, hoping her chainsaw could reload in time. Luckily enough, it did and she fired once more.

BOOOM!

The resulting explosion launched Juliet towards the mock city, allowing her to collect her footing on the rooftop. “Whoa, shes amazing!” Nick simply groaned in response, likely wishing he had earmuffs or better vision at this point. On the other side, Nora climbed to the top of the mountain and grinned, holding her hammer into the air and gathered electricity into it. Juliet raised an eyebrow at this and bent her knees, ready for the attack.

“Juliet, I think we should make a plan first.” He groaned, swaying a bit as his eyes adjusted. Before he could, he could hear a faint boom, and with that, was suddenly jerked away, Nora had used her warhammer as a propulsion device, soaring over at breakneck speed!

“Nora... SMASH!!”

Juliet had managed to dodge, getting a few meters into the air, only for the gust to get to her. The moment that the warhammer crashed against the roof, debris scattered everywhere, and the entire stadium shook! The force of the wind launched Juliet higher into the air, surprising her as she watched the cloud of dust overtake most of her vision

“Juliet, use the tassle!” Nick screamed, this gave her an idea as she did so, wrapping it just around what was left of Nick’s neck. With a twirl, Juliet snapped forth and had Nick fly towards the nearest beam she could see. Gripping his teeth on it, the disembodied boyfriend felt entire years of dental work being destroyed in seconds.

The bright side arrived when the tassle tightened, stopping Juliet’s flight and allowing her to swing towards her boyfriend, a cheered cry as she snatched him under her arm. “That was so cool! Great thinking Nick!” she complimented, flying back towards the debris and squinting as she held Nick between her ample bosom. Something was wrong. Just where did Nora go?

As soon as she landed, the cheerleader turned and paced herself, the sound of falling gravel, her footsteps, and Nick’s muffled speech being all she heard. She stopped and held him, looking down.

“Juliet, like I said, I think we need a plan. Now, I may not know shit about mythology, but I think shes got some Thor thing going on. You saw when she powered herself with that lightning bolt? Add in the hammer-.”

“Nah,” Juliet interrupted. “Coincidence.”

“Her last name is Valkyrie. That’s as Norse as she can get next to talking in German or wearing a spiked helmet!”

“Oh come on Nick, that’d be as silly as Captain America being a Nazi.”

At that moment, a shot rang out, forcing Juliet to react. The cheerleader flipped to the side, barely dodging a grenade round as it grazed against her face. Without missing a beat, she jumped over the next round almost instinctively, and ducked under the third one. It was clear that Nora was running as she fired, trying to throw Juliet off before she could locate her. So, it was up to Juliet to even the odds.

Slamming the teeth of the chainsaw against the ground, Juliet arched back, and held onto the multi-purpose tool. Within mere moments, the cheerleader zipped forward, holding on as her feet stamped the ground each half-a-second. A mach cone almost instantly formed around her, allowing her to escape the dust cloud with enough speed to have it disperse and rise to the air. With a smirk, Juliet turned, and jumped back to dodge Nora’s oncoming hammer swing.

The muscle of JNPR grinned even as she missed, keeping the momentum to further speed up and try to knock the cheerleader out of the sky. Juliet countered instantly by spinning her chainsaw and parrying, the sparks given off nearly blinding both girls. However, with Nora’s superior strength, Juliet was propelled away by the swing and barely landed, a bit concerned by how much stamina this one girl had.

“Well Nick, time for one of our special moves.” She stated, well, rather warned.

“Wait... special moves?”

Before the disembodied head could request a change of plans, Juliet unhooked him and her chainsaw popped to form to a party popper

“Nick Popper!”

Nora’s eyes glistened at the sight, a childish grin on her face. And right then, Juliet fired Nick like a disembodied missile, his cry of horror as he was fired at the Valkyrie at high speed. Nora quickly realized this and grinned, holding her hammer like a baseball bat.

“BATTER UP!”

“No! No batter up, miss, miss!” cried out Nick in horror. Right then, his face met Nora’s Grimm-smashing hammer, but instead of being reduced to gibs on contact, he was launched back at Juliet, hitting her in the stomach with enough force to have her smash through a building.

The crowd cheered and gave out roars of amazement, Nora simply placed the hammer over her shoulder with a grin and flexed a bit. Sometimes she amazed herself too.

In the rubble, Juliet groaned, holding her stomach in pain. Nick was nearby, holding a lollipop in his mouth by the stick.

“Juliet, are you okay?” he asked.

“Yeah, she packs a punch, are you okay Nick?” groaned the cheerleader as she tried to stand.

“I am. But now you understand right? I mean, sure this was the first real hit, but still, this girl is NOT like those zombies we fought. I’d say shes more dangerous than all of them. We need to take this more serious.”

With a smile, Juliet took Nick and held him at face level. “You know, Nick? You make a valid point. I love you baby.”

With that, Nick puckered his lips, and Juliet took the lollipop into her mouth. They were ready.

On the outside, Nora shifted her warhammer to its grenade launcher form and took aim, she could feel the atmosphere. With a grin, she waited... and heard the sound of a chainsaw starting

That was quickly replaced by the sudden bang from what sounded like a cannon. Nora barely had time to register it as Juliet attacked not from the front or back, but above, stamping her feet against the Valkyrie’s head. She had used the Chainsaw Blaster as a way to fly into the air, using a ramp hidden in the abandoned city. Nora could feel the weight pressing on her cranium as Juliet hopped off and ran, firing more rounds from the chainsaw and each one hitting Nora in rapid succession. If not for her aura, then the muscle of JNPR would’ve been down and out. Luckily, Nora wasn’t so easy to bring down.

Without wasting time, and the hopes of stopping her speedy foe, Nora swung forth, missing Juliet and leaving herself open. The cheerleader took full advantage of this to dropkick Nora directly in the face, causing her to stagger and leave her open for a series of pom-pom infused punches and a few kicks to the side. Juliet’s assault ended just before Nora could recollect her thoughts, and with a widening grin, electricity sparked from the corners of her eyes.

“My turn.”

Nora raised her hammer and brought it against the ground, the mighty blow caused an eruption within a heartbeat, raising the entire stadium and shaking the forcefield while throwing Juliet off -balance. Startled, Juliet saw the raising landscape and jumped to a different one each time to maintain footing, however, each one was beginning to raise in an angle, becoming less like ground and more akin to massive stalagmites. With a grunt, Juliet barely climbed to the top of one of the spikes and jumped to evade an oncoming grenade. With the terrain like this, she was at a disadvantage obviously, but she knew she could probably find a way to counter this girl somehow.

Studying each direction, Nora grinned and swung her hammer, hitting one of the raised stones and shattering it on contact, turning it into a scattershot with the speed of a fighter jet. Juliet could swerve past most of them with ease, but it was beginning to mess with her dexterity. Within a few hops, she managed to find the mountainous region and began to lean against it, catching her breath.

“Uh, Juliet, you know we’re sort of making it easier for her, right?” Nick questioned, a bit concerned at what she must’ve been thinking. Juliet smiled, revving her chainsaw once more.

“Oh, don’t worry Nick, I have a plan.”

At that point, Nora had hopped high into the air, using the warhammer to propel herself to the top of the mountain. Juliet smirked as she noticed this and looked at Nick, a look of near evil intention on her face. Before Nick could try to ask, Juliet pushed him into the party horn and fired, his terrified yell echoing as he collided with Nora in mid-flight.

With the loud crash, Nick found himself falling back into Juliet’s hands, and Nora, while surprised at how she was brought down, only grinned.  She arched her arm back and prepared a one-handed swing, only to hit the side of the mountain the moment Juliet jumped back. The induction of electricity then caused bits of stone to fire out, striking both girls and forcing them away from the mountain. While Juliet was in pain, Nora seemed to have shrugged most of them off, minus the few that decked her in the face. Still, judging by the force, they knocked down one of the raised portions of the arena, and heard a loud buzz. Looking around, the two girls noticed a new terrain arrive on the far west – an icy landscape. Nora grinned and dashed for it, knowing of the dust that she can use to amplify her shots.

“Hey, get back here!”

Juliet stood and gave chase, but was far from able to keep up with her. Nora grinned as she snapped off a piece of ice and crammed it into Magnhild, aiming it right for Juliet. Despite this, Juliet didn’t seem to care, only picking UP speed with a chainsaw dash. Nora wanted to think this was too easy, just one shot and she could turn this cheerleader into a popsicle. But something felt off, she wasn’t even considering moving any direction or slowing down. Had she lost it?

With a quiet yet thoughtful hum, Nora aimed slightly above and fired, the grenade, now supercharged with ice dust, was flying at breakneck speed, and Juliet had jumped right at it. Shock quickly took over the cheerleader’s face since her idea was to jump it and come down with a chainsaw to the skull, but that shock quickly turned into an idea. She began to spin, faster, faster, and faster!

Right as the grenade got close, almost enough to make contact... something happened. It was beginning to swerve off course, sliding to the right. Nora couldn’t believe her eyes. A small wind current had began to circle Juliet, making a small cyclone with her as the centerpiece! As a result, not only did the grenade not hit, but it was caught in the current, allowing Juliet to avoid an icy fate. With a smirk, San Romero’s top cheerleader continued to spin, making the gust stronger, almost strong enough to rival even a small twister. While she lacked the necessary force and speed, it did make Nora regret her terrain of choice as she quickly lost her balance and fell over, hitting her knees and hands right against the ice.

As soon as she saw this, Juliet didn’t even hesitate, placing a crash helmet on Nick. She quickly dispersed from the self-made tornado and tossed Nick high into the air, arching her leg back. With a yell, she had her foot make contact right with the helmet...

“NICK. SHOOT!”

And the decapitated boyfriend was rocketed forth at more than enough speed to create a mach cone, hitting Nora right in the face with enough force to send her flying from her hammer. Stunned, Nora hit an ice wall, cracking it as her aura began to reach its limit. She was getting exhausted, and Juliet seemed to still have enough in the tank for more.

Still, she refused to give up! With a growl, Nora stood and stomped against the icy terrain, causing it to tremble and form entire ice stalagmites as electricity surged from her body. She charged right for Juliet at that point, one fist clenched as something began to change. In her mind, this was no longer the preppy girl she was psyched to befriend, but a sociopath with a smiling face, coated in blood that simply dodged her punch and kicked her right in the abdomen. Her aura was at least on 30% now as she hacked up a bit of saliva and blood before crashing against the ground.

Juliet looked in surprise as she looked down at Nora. Her flesh beginning to decay as her words became gargled and replaced with mindless grunts and hisses. “So, she was a zombie the whole time?”

Getting on top, perfectly wrapping her legs around Nora’s waist, Juliet revved her chainsaw as she brought it down right for Nora’s neck. In horror, Nora tried to block it with one hand, her other hand trying to find SOMETHING to grab, a chunk of loose ice, her hammer, anything! As her aura did everything it could to prevent the teeth from breaching, a faint orange line flared across her being, and that’s when she could feel it. The pain of each tooth severing through her hand, hacking away at the flesh.

Juliet kept her smile through all of this as she easily ripped through the hand and made the chainsaw connect with the neck, within seconds, the teeth ripped and sliced each piece of meat, sloppily scattering it, blood, and vein across the ice, Nora’s cries began to be replaced with a low gurgle as blood filled what was left of her throat, her spinal cord snapping and tearing as the last thing the Valkyrie saw was a smile of pure satisfaction as this blonde woman finished separating her head from her body.

When it was over, Juliet stood with a smile, and faced the crowd. What she expected were cheers but quickly realized it was horrified gasps, terror, disbelief, and most of all, malice. Confused, Juliet saw the camera, and she didn’t see a zombie. As it turned out, what she truly did was take a poor girl’s life.

“no...” was all she could say as she dropped her chainsaw. In the stands, Cinder smiled, giving the petrified Emerald a pat on the back.

“Now, we can truly begin the party.”

Wendy: “... Haku, I uh...”

Hakuboshi: “meh. We’ve done worse.”

Wendy: “t- true. Well, it was an incredibly close fight indeed. Both had their own feats and features that would ensure the close fight. Nora was physically Juliet’s superior, but physicality barely has the final say in close fights.”

Hakuboshi: “One thing to know is that Juliet’s training was far more long termed than Nora’s. Shes been slaying monsters since she was a baby, ranging from werewolves to leprechauns. Nora on the otherhand, is barely a student. In comparison, its sort of obvious that the person with more experience fighting even humanoids would have the right ways to hold their own.”

Wendy: “Also, Juliet is more agile, partially thanks to her cheerleading skills and superhuman stamina. In her own game, she fought an entire day against hordes of flesh eating zombies whereas Nora ran out of stamina within mere hours fighting robots and Grimm, and that was with backup. Hell, she was one-shot by a large machine, sure it was designed to kill Grimm and all, but when you compare stamina wise, Juliet likely had more for a long game. Not to mention in terms of weaponry, a near indestructible shapeshifting chainsaw is actually more useful and handy than you’d think.”

Hakuboshi: “The bedazzled chainsaw is definitely something else. Considering how chainsaws work, the teeth in it would be able to eat through aura at arguably a quicker rate than a punch or concussive shot as its teeth rotate quickly and this is a chainsaw that cuts through cars with ease. One thing that’s hard to judge is overall durability.”

Wendy: “Its easy to say Nora thanks to her aura, especially since shes physically stronger than Juliet. However, once that aura is cut, her durability drops like a rock, likely no stronger than a human at peek levels since Jaune got cut by a tree branch before he discovered his. Granted, Nora isn’t Jaune. The only other example we can probably guess is Pyrrha, who was downed with an arrow to the Achilles tendon when before she could dodge them and tanked a blow that destroyed the CCT hub beforehand.”

Hakuboshi: “In comparison, Juliet is superhuman even without aura, capable of withstanding point blank explosions, crushed, ran over by giant ass tires, impaled with bones from a kaiju-Elvis-zombie, and being frozen solid. Add in she can gain invulnerability and has a 50/50 chance of reviving and she can stay in the game just a bit longer.”

Wendy: “It doesn’t help that Nora’s semblance wouldn’t exactly be the best. Juliet can withstand electric shocks too afterall as her fight with Vikke showed, and he can spam lightning bolts. To compare, Nora’s semblance is almost too situational to be a huge factor. Overall, Nora just lacked many ways to stay ahead... oh God, we need to retire these damn puns.”

Hakuboshi: “The winner is Juliet Starling.”
