Soifon touched down, checking the land below as she clenched her fist. She was lucky to have run into Orihime during her vacation in Z-City, it surely gave her the chance to get a quick fix after that fight with the tengu reporter. However, it didn’t ease her suspicion of this odd world. This world that seemed to have a dog-based superhero and a psychic woman that could casually drop meteorites like slam dunks? If the human world was truly this strong, then why would they need Soul Reapers to combat Hollows?

It didn’t matter to her in the end. All that did was that she needed to find her target – a young woman in black who was spotted in Soul Society before returning out of the portal. With a jump, she ran through the forest, keeping out of sight until she reached the city. With a jump, she gathered reishi to her feet and touched down on top of a small house, only to see a figure stand before her.

“Whats the rush? Other then the destruction of a small city?” questioned the figure. It was a slender male in skintight ninja garb, his eyes darting at her. Soifon instantly knew what he was talking about and took a simple step forward, staring down the man.

“That was not my intention.” She simply replied, the male scoffed a bit at her, as if he didn’t believe her.

“Good thing it was a Sunday. Otherwise, there would’ve been people inside. Not that I care. However, you may prove a good warm up for Saitama.” He stated. In a moment, he grinned... his teeth seemed to disappear, as if his mouth was a crescent moon. Soifon was unimpressed as she grabbed the shortsword on her back.

“Very well then, if you won’t move, then you are my enemy. I am the Captain of Squad 2 – Soifon.”

“Speed of Sound Sonic. And don’t worry, your head will roll in seconds.”

The two ninjas faced down, the silent night ready, as soon as the moon shined from the parting clouds, its light reaching them, they vanished... like shadows.

They strike!

The two clashed in mid-air, staring down as their swords sparked from contact. After a second, the two jumped back, each one throwing a small blade at the other – kunai. Soifon was quick to notice and placed her foot down before lunging back against the air, dodging the second one Sonic threw. She flew directly at the man and spun, aiming to kick him across the sky.

Anticipating this, Sonic swerved his head to the side and lunged forth, landing a solid left hook against the Soul Reaper before throwing a kick to her waist, launching her into a building just a few blocks away. He smirked, landing on a street light and jumped back into the air, heading right for her direction. With shuriken in hand, he began a bombardment of them, the blades whistling through the air and through the hole.

Soifon crashed through the window, hitting the first desk before she flipped through the air and landed against the cubicle. Looking out through the broken shards, she scowled, somewhat a mix of impressed and annoyed that a mere human did this to her with ease. Maybe it was a sign? She quickly noticed the shurikens heading towards the building and ran to the other side, kicking through a door to get cover. The sound of an explosion was heard, followed by another, and another. She hadn’t expected him to be tossing what may be bombs and jumped down the stairway, planning some sort of strategy. As she did, the explosions seemed to sound as if they were getting further away. She took advantage of this and ran to the window just ahead, throwing a nearby desk out of it to get Sonic’s attention. She then spun around and tossed out a pair of darts hiding under the soles of her shoes.

Just outside, Sonic was perplexed at the sound of shattering glass and punched the wall, using the hole to keep himself in place. He looked down to see the darts and frowned, had this woman mistook him for a fool? He jumped away from the wall, holding two shurikens. As he fell, he threw them in the missing window, right at the Soul Reaper. Soifon figured these would also be explosives and jumped back, holding her arms before her face to cover herself.

Sonic just grinned, “Sucker.

The shurikens missed her, much to her confusion, only to explode upon hitting the wall behind her. The blast engulfed her and quickly spread throughout the entire floor, shattering every window as he kept his smile. Surely, he had won...

At least he had hoped. The Soul Reaper appeared right behind him and spun in a circle, striking the back of his head and sending him through the next two floors. The bloodthirsty ninja growled in what could be a mix of anger and pain as he turned to see which direction he was struck. When he got an idea of where, he sensed the approach and jumped back, dodging some thrown anken darts. Holding onto his ninjato, Sonic prepared the counterattack, hearing the faintest sound of the glass falling in the distance. His grin reached ear to ear as he swung...

SHING!

And the two were now in a bladelock once again. Their eyes burrowed into each other. Soifon jumped back and used a flash step to dodge an oncoming swing to the neck and got behind Sonic, trying to ram her sword into his back. The ninja jumped and twirled, having his leg meet her face and knock her over. The Soul Reaper rolled back just as the sword was swung for her downed body, barely nicking her hakama.

Hes good.” Soifon thought, she clenched onto her sword, a sense of shame beginning to form as the two clashed once again. This time, the sound of metal on metal caused its own shockwave to shake the entire building. Within seconds, the building’s entire structure began to collapse. The two shinobis didn’t even break eye contact as they simply jumped back and threw shuriken right for each other. The small weapons bounced harmlessly off each other as the two dashed right for each other, picking up the tools and trying once again, this time with kunai.

It was as if they were fighting a mirror... Spinning around each other, kicks and elbow strikes being dodged, weapons bouncing off of each other or getting stuck in walls and the ground, just to be picked up and reused. At this point, a mirror was exaggeration, it was a battle between shadows. Their speed, unmatched and invisible to cameras and human eye made the process of a collapsing building seem like minutes rather than seconds. A support beam that fell through forced the two to jump back and run up either side. They sensed each other by each footstep and prepared their weapons, only one sliced apart the entire beam in a single swing in an attempt to kill the foe.

Sonic grinned, expecting to see the Soul Reaper’s head hovering... but instead saw nothing but debris. With a scowl, he looked around, trying to figure out where she was. He barely even noticed that he was beginning to go down with the building; the rising dust from below being the only thing that gave him the idea.

Placing his foot against the support beam, he tilted it and jumped high into the air, trying to find a way to keep ahead of the collapse. That’s when, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a blur.

“I found you!” announced the ninja as he swung his sword in the direction. It was blocked by Soifon’s sword at the last moment, but before he could attempt another attack, the Captain of Squad 2 managed to make what appeared to be the shape of an inverted triangle.

“Shitotsu Sansen!”

In a moment, light shined in the motion she made, and a blast of triangular light struck from each point, pinning Sonic to the wall on the other side. This in turn, gave the Soul Reaper her chance to escape. A smirk on her face, she listened as Sonic cursed her name, before being drowned out by rubble. She took this as her chance to get out, the collapsing building designed to be a tomb for the ninja.

Soifon continued until she got into a nearby forest, a smirk on her face as she suddenly felt a sting. Letting her hakama down, she felt the wind brush against a cut just along her shoulder-blade. It wasn’t much, if anything, it was akin to a paper cut. But if anything, it served as a reminder, she wasn’t the only ninja... yet... danger hasn’t left her.

“You honestly thought... you escaped me?”

Soifon felt the sensation of bloodlust and the wind separating at once. Without pausing for breath, she crouched down and spun, trying to kick the ninja who escaped his demise, but to no avail. All she hit was air, a sign that now, her foe was getting serious. She used a flash step to get away, clearing twenty meters and preparing a kido spell. Before she could however, she saw Sonic right before her, his sword swinging right for her face. Time almost seemed to freeze as she pulled her zanpakuto up to block, only to be kicked through a tree as a result.

As it fell, Sonic charged forth, grabbing it with one hand and chucking it like an oversized spear. The Soul Reaper barely even had time to dodge as she went airborne, using the spirit particles to ‘fly’ into the sky and get some distance. Sonic looked at her and held onto a pack of shurikens, not losing his chance to show off his pearly whites.

“You won’t escape me, kunoichi!” he warned, crouching in preparation to give chase. The Soul Reaper looked down, holding her sword and placing her fingers along it. She felt humiliated to have to use her Shikai on a human... but he clearly was strong enough to deserve it.

“Sting all enemies to death. Suzumebachi.”

With a white glow, the sword became the form of a bee’s stinger, covering her middle finger and forming a metallic design resembling a chain along her hand. While this decreased her range, she now had a chance to end this quickly.

Or at least that was her plan. Sonic had jumped, appearing right before her with his usual smile. He tried to attack with an overhead kick, but this gave Soifon a flashback, and she smirked. She easily maneuvered her body, catching the leg with both feet while using one of her hands to hold onto the other leg.

With her zanpakuto ready, Soifon struck! Aiming to give the first mark, the sword came close to Sonic’s chest, only to be stopped by the former bodyguard’s grab. Sonic held tightly onto Soifon’s wrist, aiming to crush it entirely. Surprise was on Soifon’s face as she tried a different strategy and let go of his leg and tried to pull back... but to no success. She felt the bones beginning to weaken and gritted her teeth, aiming for something that she never thought she had to do. She balled the fist of her free hand and...

DIIIING

Sonic’s eyes widened in pain, his voice breaking as he let go of the Soul Reaper to hold onto the precious treasures that just met a horrific fate. As he fell, Soifon held onto her injured wrist, cursing at her luck.

He almost completely crushed it... what is he?” That when danger reared its ugly head in the form of a flying shuriken. Shrugging it off as a minor threat, she lifted her arm to block it. The second it hit the metal...

KA-BOOM!!

Soifon fell from the sky, coughing in anger as she looked down, seeing the array of shurikens flying right for her at breakneck speeds. She regained her footing and gathered spirit particles to her feet, and with a single jump, she cleared a good thirteen meters. The shurikens missed her entirely, giving her the time to figure out her foe’s location.

Sonic crouched on a tree branch, a smirk on his face as he tossed the next volley. The wind buzzed and whistled as the blades homed in on Soifon, who simply flew past them with ease. With a single flash step, she appeared behind Sonic and struck!

The mark of what appeared to be a butterfly formed on the man’s back, much to his surprise as he jumped to the side and grabbed a kunai. Soifon dashed forth in response, trying to get the second mark.

“The hamonka will not leave unless I allow it, human!” she informed, effortlessly knocking the blade from his hand and performing a spin kick that launched Sonic across the forest at the speed of a shuttle in reentry. The heat given off would burn away falling and nearby leaves, and the trees themselves began to catch fire.

When Sonic finally stopped, he was pinned against a redwood tree, his imprint stuck inside as he tried to recover. That’s when Soifon appeared right before him, ready to end it.

“The final blow!”

And she attacked... only to find herself punching through the tree. Sonic had managed to elude her grasp once again. Only this time, he left a present: an exploding shuriken, and it was ready to go off. She got out of the way at the very last second of the explosion’s radius, but now, she was vulnerable, and this forest, while a suitable hunting ground, wasn’t going to make it easy. She didn’t want to waste her time, afterall, she had a job to do. But, at the same time, if she could avoid using ‘it’, that’d be much preferable.

Closing her eyes, Soifon heard the rustling of leaves. Some from the wind, but some, clearly from something heavier – like footsteps. She opened her eyes and ducked, evading the swing aimed for her head. The Soul Reaper grabbed onto Sonic’s leg, pulling him to a punch to the face then a headbutt. The blow broke his nose on impact, giving her time to begin a series of kicks against his stomach. Still, despite this flurry, it almost felt as if nothing she did was going to stop him even for a second.

And Sonic seemed to know this. He grabbed onto her leg and pushed his weight down with his own headbutt. The force stunned Soifon, allowing them both to fall and land against the ground. The Soul Reaper coughed, her vision blurred as the ninja stood over her, holding his shortsword with murderous intent.

“Now, ALLOW ME TO END YOU! FOUR SHADOWS BURIAL!”

With that, the image of not one, but four Sonics surrounded her, all attacking at once and driving their swords into her gut. The Soul Reaper coughed blood into the sky... and promptly vanished to their confusion. Soifon had escaped, but now, she was the one trying to keep distance in order to counter... this filled Sonic with... pleasure.

He dispersed the copies, each afterimage vanishing as Sonic gave chase to his fleeing target. His sheer bloodlust, his desire to see her fall, her head in his hand, nay, a VICTORY! If he beats her, than surely Saitama would follow. He began hopping tree to tree, seeing a glimpse of the woman before she disappeared behind another. The song and dance going on for at least a minute, but it was still making him hunger. Soon, his appetite was teased when he dodged an anken thrown from afar.

“I found you again!”

He dashed forth, the sheer force ripping the branch from the tree and the resulting three sonic booms causing trees to topple to the side, it didn’t take long for him to find her, holding her stomach and looking in horror. He grinned and with a swing of his blade... a successful decapitation!

At least that’s what he thought... the woman simply vanished into thin air, much to his confusion. He checked over his shoulder, than above, yet no sign of her anywhere. He knew of her flight, so maybe she took to the air again? With that as his only plausible clue, Sonic jumped to the top of the tree, scanning the entire forest in anticipation. His eyes, like a hawk.

Right then, the ground rumbled. He felt a strong rush of energy and looked 6 o clock, seeing what appeared to be a spiral of blue energy. His every pore rushed with excitement as he went to investigate. Did his foe have some sort of telekinetic power? Or an explosion accident? Either way, he had to check for himself. By the time he arrived, the energy had vanished, leaving at least a few blocks of downed trees. He looked down... and his eyes widened in shock.

Right there was his foe, but she was holding something... it looked like a stinger missile, far too big for any human to wield, yet she had it like an extension to her arm. She smirked and glanced at Sonic, the steel sash anchoring her to the only remaining tree that didn’t topple over being her saving grace. She aimed it at him.

“Fire, Jakuho Raikoben.”

And with those words, dust engulfed Soifon as the missile fired at the Shinobi, far too quick for him to properly think. Sonic gritted his teeth and tried to move... only to remember hes still in the air... and there was nowhere to go.

For miles, the night sky lit up. The sight of a bright explosion rivaling a nuclear warhead overtaking even the clouds and the shockwave felt for miles. For Soifon, she was barely able to even hold her ground, even with the steel sash. Covering her eyes, she tried to peek through, and once the explosion cleared, all that was there was the night. The entire forest was cleared out, leaving merely sticks behind. Exhaustion would take over the Soul Reaper, but she was just happy...

SHICK.

Until blood seeped from her mouth. She looked down, seeing a sword had pierced through her stomach. With a cough, she looked back, seeing the grin of Sonic, who was badly burnt, but still kicking... in his birthday suit.

“That was a good move, getting me into that missile.” He complimented. Soifon’s expression however, was one of malice rather than of thanks. “But... this is where we part ways.”

Before Sonic could finish the job, Soifon nudged her elbow back, striking the ninja right in the groin. Pain rang across his face, allowing the Soul Reaper to run ahead and pull the sword out, shattering it with her bare hands.

Turning to find Sonic, Soifon was met with a fist to the face, followed up with a kick to the gut than another to... well, she likely wasn’t going to give birth to Yoruichi’s kids anyway. The blow staggered her, forcing her to stumble back and collapse. As she tried to breath, Sonic took the broken blade. And without words, the eternal foe to Saitama brought it down with the pure intent to end her life.

She could try to bring back her Bankai. She did have enough stamina to summon another missile after all. Or she could try to kick him, but he would see it coming. At least she had a trump card... better make it count.

“Shunko!”

On cue, a blast of wind, at least rivaling the speeds of a category 5 hurricane nearly forced Sonic off his feet. At first it nearly caused him to drop his blade, but soon it caused him to fly back at speeds surpassing it. The wind began to circle around Soifon shortly after, making it seem as if she was being protected by twisters.

“Mukyū Shunkō.”

The winds picked up immensely, as if becoming a cloak now. As she stared Sonic down, she felt it envelop. Soifon’s Shikai reformed and began to gather strength from the wind.

“Now. How about we end this game?” she asked. Soon, another her appeared... than another... and another...and another. It was soon at least 10 of hers, all transparent. And Sonic grinned.

“My pleasure.”

Picking the blade back up, Sonic held it at her... and began to multiply.

“TEN SHADOW BURIAL!!”

Without warning, the two teams vanished, leaving only dust and craters in the wake of the deforested area. Clashes were heard loud enough to shatter windows, only a single afterimage visible for half a second each time. Their speed was great enough to present the illusion of entire armies after a few moments. And soon, time itself seemed to slow.

Soifon focusing on dodging and kicking, having not thrown a single punch yet. However, Sonic hasn’t let up even for a moment either. When his wheel blade kick missed, he followed suit with a smokescreen or homing explosive shuriken. The shurikens were simply caught in the wind and redirected, hitting the ground to cause an explosion.

Soon, it came time, for someone to go down. The two sprinted forth, ignoring the afterimages and heading for the source. Rather it was their instincts or pure luck that led to this was unknown, but it was just the right time... and Soifon had an idea.

As they got right to each other, the Soul Reaper held her arm... and the missile reformed. Sonic didn’t even recognize it as the winds spiraled around at such force to rip his arm open, and right then, it was too late.

“Fire. Jakuho Raikoben.”

With the sheer wind meeting Sonic’s chest, and the missile impaling on cue; Sonic was flung into the air, the sight from afar being a twister raising from the ground. He yelled in pain, blood seeping yet flowing around him, yet... he was content. On the inside...

Once more, the sky erupted. The flash overtaking the city in an instant. Yet back on the ground, Sonic never returned... the exhausted Soifon fell to her hands and knees, sweating and trying to catch her breath. Her bleeding needed attention stat and while she won, the destruction caused.... wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Hakuboshi: “And Saitama just lost part of his harem...”

Wendy: “A shame too... but, we might as well explain why.”

Hakuboshi: “If you look at it in terms of physicality, it was sort of even. Sonic and Soifon likely tie in speed and their durability is quite impressive considering Sonic regularly got up even after getting a Shinigami Chop from Saitama or even being bombarded by his own explosives. Even then, Soifon survived having missiles fired at her and whats basically a portable nuke go off in her face. While Saitama is superior to any nuke, he was just trying to quail Sonic...”

Wendy: “That alone would likely make Sonic tougher... plus, he less likely to succumb to Soifon’s tricks since he can counter them with either his homing shurikens, sheer speed, or tank them. The main issues however, is well, almost everything else.”

Hakuboshi: “Sonic’s use of weapons is somewhat more handy than Soifon’s zanpakuto, anchoring sash, and even her Bankai, but Soifon is more adapt in hand to hand combat which uses her flexibility and quick thinking to catch and lock her foes in place. Even then, her ability to use spirit particles to fly would allow aerial dominance and distance, her Bankai would have the splash damage to hold Sonic back, and hell, her Shikai alone is more than enough.”

Wendy: “A 2-hit kill may not be as impressive as a 1-hit kill true, but merely nicking the enemy allows Soifon to leave her mark. After that, the tattoo stays on unless she allows it to be removed. Once she stabs the same spot, even if its behind you, its game over. Hell, even without that, Soifon can have the foe covered and that’d make dodging a MUST. Add in her Shunko’s buff, and she’d have the speed and strength to counter or at least overwhelm Sonic as the scuffle continues.”

Hakuboshi: “And in intelligence, Sonic is more hands on. He can analyze his foe, true, but its not AS effective when the person you’re fighting is older than your grandfather and can fight as good as you. Soifon was trained by one of the fastest Soul Reapers after all.”

Wendy: “Sadly, Sonic just didn’t go fast enough.”

Hakuboshi: “The winner is Best Girl – Soifon.”

Speed of Sound Sonic

+Arguable superior physicality

+Less likely to fall for any tricks

-Has no defense against Soifon’s negeki kessatsu or Jakuho Raikoben

Soifon

+Better hand to hand combatant

+Aerial advantage

+Zanpakuto is more reliable then Sonic’s weapons

+More decades of experience

-Would have a hard time keeping most tricks intact

One-Punch Man vs. Bleach. The battle of kunoichis commence! Will Sonic be the quickest around, or will Soifon show her power as the Stealth Force's leader?

Soifon winning and speed of sound sonic dying is epic
